Simos grew up in Limassol Cyprus. He enrolled at Imperial College London between 2013 and 2017 in pursuit of an MEng degree in Biomedical Engineering; graduating with First Class Honors in June of 2017.  He first joined the group in the summer of 2016 as part of a UROP internship with the aim of developing a “single-channel ANS stimulator prototype PCB” under the supervision of Dr Pangalos and Professor Drakakis. Building from the UROP project, his MEng thesis involved the development of a “four channel prototype ANS stimulator”, compatible with the Biosense Webster CARTO system used by cardiac EP centres worldwide.

As of October 2017 he is employed through an Imperial College Confidence In Concept grant with the goal of further improving the instrument produced at the end of his studies.  He currently works under the supervision of Professor Drakakis as well as in conjunction with Dr Kim, Professor Kanagaratnam and Dr Linton of the Imperial College NHS Trust.
